Summer Meeting Oxford 20-21 June 2016

ISCAR Summer Meeting 2016 with the Oxford Centre for Sociocultural and Activity Theory Research (OSAT)

Monday 20th June – Tuesday 21st June 2016

Department of Education, University of Oxford,

15 Norham Gardens, Oxford, OX2 6PY

Theme: The Problem of Agency.

Our purpose is to problematize and explore the concept of agency using cultural-historical perspectives, which may lead us to consider contingent issues such as ‘identity’ and ‘situation’.

Please note that, in order to keep costs affordable and to a minimum, attendees will organize, pay and gain receipts for their own costs, including accommodation, lunch and dinner. The organisers will provide a certificate of attendance. We ask for a cash contribution (£10 ISCAR members and doctoral students; £15 non-ISCAR members) at registration to cover our minimal refreshment and organization costs. Advice on accommodation will be provided when you register.

If you choose to arrive on Sunday 19th June, please join us for an informal get together at the Rose and Crown pub, 14 North Parade Avenue, Oxford, OX2 6LX, from 6.30pm onwards.
