Scholarships for Fifth ISCAR Congress Quebec City, Canada 2017

We are pleased to announce that we intend to award up to 4 scholarships to assist doctoral researchers, early career academics and non- or low-salaried researchers to attend ISCAR 2017. Scholarships are offered to support attendance at Congress but will not support subsistence expenses.
Please note that scholarships will only be available to people who are not able to secure funding* from their university or workplace and who have a paper, symposium, round table, or PhD conference presentation acceptable to the conference organisers. 

The maximum award is $2,000CDN per person (with the possibility of some extra funding if inter-continental travel costs are very high).

The abstract and proposal submitted to ISCAR 2017

A short rationale for sponsorship (max 500 words)

A short academic and employment curriculum vitae

The registration fee you will require (see below)

A breakdown of anticipated travel and accommodation costs**

Decisions will be taken by the executive committee of ISCAR in conjunction with the Quebec Organising Committee.
Deadline for applications: Wednesday 30 November 2016

Registration fees:
ISCAR Members : $650 Canadian dollars

Non-members: $750 Canadian dollars

ISCAR Members (no lunch meals): $525 Canadian dollars

Non-members (no lunch meals): $625 Canadian dollars

* Scholarships will not replace funding that is normally available to doctoral and post-doctoral researchers in home institutions; scholarships are designed to support people in low-income situations

** Accommodation should be low-cost student accommodation on Université Laval campus
