My lecture will present a cultural-historical perspective about subjectivity. The key concept is subjective sense, which is constituted by relations between meanings and emotions. I will present the idea of subjective configuration of personality, discuss its theoretical and methodological relevance for a psychological representation of development, and conclude with a comparison to some other social scientific approaches to subjectivity, particularly discursive traditions.
