Dear Colleagues!

Year 2012 marks 110 years of the birth of Alexander Romanovich Luria (1902-1977). To commemorate life and scientific achievements of this world-renowned psychologist and founder of Russian neuropsychology, Moscow State University, in collaboration with N.N. Burdenko Neurosurgery Institute (where the first Russian neuropsychological laboratory was open) is pleased to announce International Memorial Conference. The conference will be held in Moscow, in September, 2012.

Within the framework of two Conferences the following symposiums are planned:

· A.R. Luria and the development of the world psychological science;

· A.R. Luria and modern neuropsychology;

· Fundamental and applied aspects of mental recovery after brain injury.

The last symposium continues the themes of the first (2008) and second (2010) conferences “Mental recovery after traumatic brain injury: a multidisciplinary approach”.

Conference will include plenary and thematic sessions (oral and poster presentations), round table discussions, invited presentations, evening lectures. A competition of presentations of undergraduate and postgraduate students and young researchers (under 33 years old) will be organized.

Topics will be listed in the second information letter. You are welcome with the ideas of the sections’ organization.

The abstract submission will begin on April 4st 2011, after the second information letter. There will be information about registration fees, hotel accommodation, social program and other organization issues.

Working languages of the conference are English and Russian.
