1st International Conference on Child and Adolescence Developmental Psychology (Cultural Perspectives in East and West/ Cross Cultural & Islamic approach) Tehran, Iran May 1-6 , 2011
Dr. Saied Malihialzackerini, CAP Congress Coordinator at IAU- Tehran, Iran and the new ISCAR Section of Iran have the pleasure to invite all ISCAR members to participate in the First International Conference on Child and Adolescence Developmental Psychology (Cultural Perspectives in East and West) to be held in Iran, May 1-6, 2011.
The Conference will consist of tree parts:
Part One: The first two days, 1-2 May 2011, preconference lectures, workshops and forums, will take place at the Islamic Azad University in Tehran. Currently. Theses lectures, workshops and forums will bring together leading scientists from all abroad.
Part Two: The next 3 days, 4-6 May 2011, we will stay at the well known ancient city of Shiraz, the present-day capital of Fars Province, (near Perspolis, Islamic Azad University Fars Science and Research Branch.
Part Three: In the final day the closing ceremony of the congress and opening of new windows for future cooperation (signing agreements) will take place.
The conference will be webcasted "live" and also recorded and archived on the net after the event so that viewers can watch it later at their own convenience. PowerPoint presentations can be run with the video to make the sessions interesting and allow proper dissemination of knowledge. The full conference proceedings will be provided in a DVD which can be duplicated for mass circulation.
Based on the visions, ideas and opinions obtained during the phases of the Conference, we would like to give some input into the establishment process of Developing the International Scientific-Cultural Cooperation. The objective of the conference is creating identity, self-consciousness, funding possibilities and cooperation among scientists, researchers and post graduate students. At this congress participants will have a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and build collaborative ties with other researchers from other disciplines and different cultures. The orientation and the role of the Islamic Azad University, in the creation of a sustainable future, is also an important area to be explored.
As the conference will have an in-depth working character, we will invite between 40 to 50 Distinguished Professors students and representatives of international centers, institutions, NGOs and other organizations and individuals from abroad, which are focusing on child and adolescence psychology. We are convinced that you will enjoy the beauty of Iran and the charming atmosphere of historical cities of Tehran, Shiraz and other ancient cities. We cordially invite you to take our country and cities to your heart.
ISCAR members have a special discount for registration and accomodation (see below) and a great part of the conference will refer to cultural-historical approaches.

More than 50 percent of discount is offered to ISCAR members for registration. The Registration fees are:
Students- $50
IPA, IVS and ISCAR members- $100
Non-members- $250
Registration is free for keynote speakers and invited speakers. All registration fees include transportation and coffee and lunch on the days of attendance. Accommodation (hotel and tour) can be booked for an additional fee. All the costs for registration must be received in cash on the 1st May 2011 in Tehran. Please print the confirmation page, which you receive when you register.
If you want to register at the “Supporting the Scientists and Students Program”, please prepare a letter documenting your concession. Students should send a letter confirming their PhD status signed by their supervisor or University.
